Saurabh Chaudhary won the gold medal in the ISSF World Cup 10m Air Pistol event.

Indian shooter, Saurabh Chaudhary has won the gold medal in Men’s 10m Air Pistol event at the ongoing 2022 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. The silver medal has been won by Germany’s Michael Schwald while Artem Chernousov of Russia claimed the bronze medal.

It is a book that blends mysticism and music that takes the readers on a journey of awakening. The book talks about Jaishankar Prasad, or Jai, who has a vague-but-business rise in his journey as an entrepreneur, and Vini, a mystic monk. The book is published by Ebury Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

The World Bank announced $1 billion humanitarian aid for Afghanistan.

The World Bank on Tuesday announced more than $1 billion in humanitarian aid for Afghanistan, stating the money will go to UN agencies and international NGOs while remaining “outside the control” of the country’s Taliban rulers.The reallocation from the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) follows the $280 million in ARTF funds disbursed last December, and is aimed at supporting the humanitarian response over the critical winter months.

31st Southeast Asian Games to be held in Vietnam

The 31st Southeast Asian Games will be held in Vietnam from May 12 to 23, 2022. It is the biggest sporting event of Southeast Asia and is a biennial event. The event was originally scheduled to take place in November 2021 however it was postponed due to the Covid pandemic. The Games will feature 40 sports with 526 events, attracting around 10,000 participants, organisers announced at a press conference here.

China launched 22 satellites into space with the Long March-8 rocket.

China’s second Long March 8 rocket launched carrying a domestic record 22 satellites for a range of commercial Chinese space companies. The Long March 8 lifted off from Wenchang Satellite Launch Center at 10:06 p.m. Eastern Feb. 26, with the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) later confirming launch success.

Amidst an ugly corporate tussle with the company’s board, Ashneer Grover, the embattled founder of fintech unicorn BharatPe, has resigned as the managing director and a director. Grover, in an email sent to the fintech’s board, said that he had been ‘vilified’ and treated in the ‘ most disrespectful manner’ since the beginning of the year.
