SSC MTS Recruitment 2023- Vacancy

SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2023 has been released along with SSC MTS Notification 2023. Staff Selection Commission has released 529 Havaldar and 11994 Multi Tasking Staff vacancies in CBIC and CBN. The category-wise vacancy distribution for Havaldar posts has been tabulated below-

The link to apply for the SSC MTS 2023 has been started from 18th January 2023 onwards after the release of the SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 notification on its official website @ssc.nic.in. The SSC MTS online registration will be active till 17th February 2023. The candidates can click on the button below to apply online for SSC MTS 2023 when the link has been activated officially.

SSC MTS 2023 Application Fee:

The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2022 is Rs. 100/

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for SSC MTS 2022 exam.

SSC MTS 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfill in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2023 Exam. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

SSC MTS Citizenship:

A candidate is required to be

  1. A citizen of India
  2. Subject of Nepal
  3. Subject of Bhutan
  4. Tibetan Refugee
  5. Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

SSC MTS Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

MTS has vacancies in two age groups. Check both age groups below:

  • 18-25 years i.e the candidates apply for SSC MTS born before 02/01/1998 but not later than 01/01/2005.
  • 18-27 years i.e the candidates apply for SSC MTS born before 02/01/1996 but not later than 01/01/2005.

SSC MTS Havaldar Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

Candidates applying for the SSC MTS Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN must be at least 18 years of age and not exceed 27 years of age i.e. born before 02/01/1996 but not later than 01/01/2005.

Apart from the mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

SSC MTS Educational Qualifications (as on 17/02/2023)

  • The candidates must have passed matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent examination from a recognized board. 
  • In case a candidate does not pass the qualifying examination before the closing date of receipt of the application form, he or she is not permitted to apply.

 

SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 Selection Process

The SSC MTS Selection Process is a two-stage procedure.

  1. SSC MTS Paper I: Written Test
  2. PET & PST (only for havaldar)

Paper-1 is an online exam that is an objective multiple choice question type.

 

SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 Exam Pattern

The paper pattern for SSC MTS saw a change in the previous year’s session of the exam.

  • The exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper 2.
  • Paper 1 is conducted online while Paper 2 is pen and paper-based.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern For Paper I

  • SSC MTS Paper I will have four sections.
  • There will be Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II
  • The duration of the SSC MTS Exam will be 90 minutes for General Candidates and 120 minutes for PwD Candidates.
  • Paper I is an objective type paper with four MCQs out of which one will be correct.
  • There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1.

SSC MTS Exam Analysis Numerical Aptitude: The entire Quantitative Aptitude Paper was Easy to Moderate level as compared to other sections. The quantitative Aptitude section was lengthy. SSC MTS Paper-1 Exam Analysis- General Awareness

The questions of the General Awareness section last year were Easy to Moderate. The major area of focus this year was in the field of Static GK, Science, Award and Honors, Current Affairs, Indian Constitution, Sports, Important Dates & Days, Portfolios, History, Culture, Geography, India and its neighbouring countries. Static GK was given a higher weightage in the General Awareness Section of the SSC MTS Tier-1 Exam on 06th October Shift-1. 

SSC MTS Salary Structure:

The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1), a General Central Service Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories.

SSC MTS Exam 2022 FAQs:

SSC Multitasking Staff or SSC MTS is a national level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates in General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries/ departments of the government of India. The Commission conducts this exam in two tiers: CBT and Descriptive Paper. While Tier 1 is conducted in online mode, Tier 2 is held in an offline mode.

The Staff Selection Commission sets the SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria and it is mandatory for the candidates to fulfil it to get the Multitasking Staff Job.

  • Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must be either a citizen of India, a Tibetan refugee, a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed class 10th from a recognised board.
  • SSC MTS Age Limit: A candidate must be aged between 18 years to 27 years.

Furthermore, the commission has also given the age relaxation to the candidates belonging o reserved categories.

SSC MTS apply online link will be activated from 22 March 2022 and will remain open till 30 April 2022. You can fill out the SSC MTS 2022 online form by visiting the official website of SSC. Click on “Apply” tab and then on “MTS” tab. Next, register yourself and enter all the required details. Upload scanned documents and pay SSC MTS Application Fee before submitting the SSC MTS online form.

Before filling out the application form, it is necessary to know whether you fulfil the SSC MTS Age Limit criterion. As per the eligibility conditions mentioned in SSC MTS Notification, the age limit for SSC MTS is 18 years to 27 years. The Commission has also given the age relaxation to the candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, PWD and other reserved categories.

SSC MTS exam date is out on 27 April 2022 for the Tier 1 exam. As per the official notification, the SSC MTS 2022 exam will be held from 05 July 2022 to 22 July 2022 tentatively.
