SSC JE Notification 2021-22:
The official notification for SSC Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination-2021 is to be released on 28th November 2022 as per SSC Calendar 2022. Once the notification is released, we will be updating the same below. Till then have a look at the previous year notification for SSC JE 2020-21.
The Online registration & exam date for SSC JE 2021-22 Tier-1 has been announced through SSC Calendar 2022. SSC JE Tier-I exam for SSC Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination is to be conducted in March 2023. The Online Application Process for SSC JE 2021 exam will start to post the release of official notification for SSC JE 2021 on 28th November 2022. The last date for SSC JE Online Registration is scheduled for 27th December 2022. The candidates interested in the Junior Engineer posts must bookmark this page to get notified when the online application process starts for SSC JE 2021-22.
Candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as their application fee for SSC JE 2021 Exam. Female Candidates, Ex. Servicemen and Candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from paying the application fee for SSC JE 2021 Exam. The fee can be paid both online (net banking/debit card/credit card) and offline (e-challan).

SSC JE 2021 Exam will be conducted in two phases. Paper 1 will be of 200 marks and paper 2 will be of 300 marks. Both paper 1 and paper 2 are Multiple Choice Questions. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in both papers. According to the recent Exam Pattern, candidates appearing for the post of JE (Civil), JE (quantity surveying & contract) should attempt Part A (civil & structural) of papers I & II.
On the other hand, candidates appearing for JE (electrical) need to attempt Part B (electrical) & the candidates appearing for JE (mechanical) need to attempt Part C (mechanical) of Paper I & II.

The Cut-Off for SSC JE 2021 will be released once the result for each phase has been declared by SSC. Cut-Off will be released separately, i.e. cut-off for Tier-I will be released first followed by cut-off for Tier-II. SSC JE Exam 2022 FAQs:
SSC JE is conducted every year for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) in various branches of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (Rs 35,400-1,12,400) of the pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission.
SSC JE is conducted only once a year and the age limit varies from post to post. There is a relaxation in the age for reserved categories as per govt. of India rules. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria provided by the authorities.

In SSC JE candidates have to appear for two papers i.e Paper 1 & Paper 2. Paper 1 is an online exam having multiple-choice questions while Paper 2 is an offline descriptive paper.
Applicants must possess an Engineering degree or diploma in any of the following specializations: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The application fees of SSC JE fee is INR 100/-. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD and Ex-Servicemen are eligible for reservation and are exempted from paying the fee.
Yes, it is compulsory to appear for both papers. Candidates failing to appear for paper 1 or 2 will be disqualified from the recruitment process. Based on the marks obtained by candidates in both the papers final cut off will be decided.
