RBI Assistant Exam:

RBI Assistant Exam is conducted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to recruit candidates for the Assistant to its various branches all over the country. As it is a national-level recruitment process, applications from all sections of India are invited. The exam is going to be conducted in three phases: Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The score of the Mains Exam will be used to make the merit list of candidates being selected for the post of RBI Assistant.

RBI Assistant 2022 Selection Process:

The RBI Selection Process takes place in three stages the Prelims, Mains, and the language proficiency test. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the Prelims and Mains RBI Assistant Exam. The Exam Pattern and Syllabus for all the three phases of RBI Assistant have been detailed below and a candidate to get selected for RBI Assistant posts needs to qualify in all the three phases’ prelims, mains, and Language proficiency test.

RBI Assistant 2022 has a specific syllabus for all the sections asked in both the preliminary examination and the main examination. The major sections covered are:

English Language
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning

These above-mentioned three sections are the common sections asked in both the preliminary exam and mains exam. An additional section of General Awareness and Computer Knowledge as asked in Mains Exam apart from the above mentioned three sections. Sectional cut-off as well as the overall cut-off for each phase of the examination must be cleared by a candidate in order to get selected for further rounds of the RBI Assistant 2022 Exam.

The first stage of the RBI Assistant Exam date 2022 is the Preliminary Examination which consists of three sections- English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks. The duration of the RBI Assistant Prelims Exam is 1 hour (60 minutes) which is divided into sectional timing, 20 minutes for each section and the marks distribution has been tabulated below-

RBI Assistant Mains Exam Pattern:

The candidates qualifying in RBI Assistant Prelims Exam will have to appear in RBI Assistant Mains Exam. There were be 5 sections namely English, Quantitative, Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, and General Awareness. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks. In this phase, the time duration is 135 minutes which is distributed section-wise as tabulated below

Language Proficiency Test (LPT):

The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main online examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below. The candidate who is not proficient in the official/ Local Language will be disqualified.

Only such a number of candidates will be called for the Language Proficiency Test who stand sufficiently high in merit based on the aggregate marks of the main online examination, such merit will be decided by the Bank in relation to the number of notified vacancies to be filled in.
