Exercise Kripan Shakti, an integrated fire power exercise was recently conducted by the Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army at the Teesta Field Firing Range (TFFR) near Siliguri, West Bengal. The exercise was led by Lieutenant General Tarun Kumar and the General Officer Commanding Trishakti Corps.

The India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA), the apex body of India’s pulses trade and industry, has appointed Bimal Kothari as the new President with immediate effect. Kothari replaces Jitu Bheda, who was the president of IPGA since 2018. One of the key founding members of the association, Kothari has been the Vice President of IPGA since 2011. Bimal Kothari took over as the third president of the association after Pravin Dongre and Jitu Bheda.

भारत के दलहन व्यापार और उद्योग के शीर्ष निकाय इंडिया पल्स एंड ग्रेन्स एसोसिएशन (आईपीजीए) ने तत्काल प्रभाव से बिमल कोठारी को नया अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है। कोठारी ने जीतू भेड़ा का स्थान लिया है, जो 2018 से आईपीजीए के अध्यक्ष थे। एसोसिएशन के प्रमुख संस्थापक सदस्यों में से एक, कोठारी 2011 से आईपीजीए के उपाध्यक्ष हैं। प्रवीण डोंगरे और जीतू भेड़ा के बाद एसोसिएशन के तीसरे अध्यक्ष के रूप में बिमल कोठारी ने पदभार संभाला।
BRO Director General Lt Gen Rajeev Choudhary announced that the Border Roads Organization will build the world’s tallest tunnel at 16,580 feet at the Shinku La pass to connect Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. He said this while opening the strategically important Himachal to Zanskar Road Shinku La Pass, where more than half a dozen vehicles crossed from Zanskar side towards Manali.

The Karnataka State Government in association with “NIMHANS” and NITI Aayog launched the Karnataka Brain Health Initiative (Ka-BHI) in January. Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa has recently been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Karnataka-Brain Health Initiative (Ka-BHI). Training of doctors in three pilot hospitals and preparations for starting brain health clinics have also started.

According to the World Bank Policy Research Working Paper, the extreme poverty rate in India fell from 22.5% in 2011 to 10.2% in 2019. This shows a 12.3 percent drop in the number of extreme poverty in the country between 2011 and 2019. The decline in rural areas was much greater than in urban areas.

विश्व बैंक पॉलिसी रिसर्च वर्किंग पेपर के अनुसार भारत में अत्यधिक गरीबी दर 2011 में 22.5% से गिरकर 2019 में 10.2% हो गई। यह देश में 2011 से 2019 के बीच अत्यधिक गरीबी की संख्या में 12.3 प्रतिशत की गिरावट दर्शाता है। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में गिरावट शहरी क्षेत्रों की तुलना में बहुत अधिक थी।
