Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, on Thursday inaugurated India’s first AC double-decker electric bus in Mumbai. Taking to his Twitter handle, Gadkari said, “Ushering Sustainable Revolution! It gives me immense pleasure to launch the Ashok Leyland’s Electric Double-Decker Bus in Mumbai today.”

केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने गुरुवार को मुंबई में भारत की पहली एसी डबल डेकर इलेक्ट्रिक बस का उद्घाटन किया। अपने ट्विटर हैंडल पर गडकरी ने कहा, “सतत क्रांति की शुरुआत! आज मुंबई में अशोक लीलैंड की इलेक्ट्रिक डबल डेकर बस को लॉन्च करते हुए मुझे बहुत खुशी हो रही है।”
Akshay Urja Diwas (Renewable Energy Day) is observed every year on 20 August to raise awareness about the developments and adoption of renewable energy in India. The Akshay Urja Day was initiated by the Indian Ministry for New & Renewable Energy Sources in 2004. Energy such as Biogas, Solar Energy, Wind energy, hydroelectrical power is a few examples of Akshay Urja. The main motive of Akshya urja Diwas is to make people aware that they have to think about renewable energy (Akshya Urja) apart from traditional energy.

अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस (नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा दिवस) हर साल 20 अगस्त को भारत में अक्षय ऊर्जा के विकास और अपनाने के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए मनाया जाता है। अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस की शुरुआत 2004 में भारतीय नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा स्रोत मंत्रालय द्वारा की गई थी। बायोगैस, सौर ऊर्जा, पवन ऊर्जा, जलविद्युत ऊर्जा जैसी ऊर्जा अक्षय ऊर्जा के कुछ उदाहरण हैं। अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस का मुख्य उद्देश्य लोगों को जागरूक करना है कि उन्हें पारंपरिक ऊर्जा के अलावा अक्षय ऊर्जा (अक्षय ऊर्जा) के बारे में भी सोचना है।
On the eve of Janmashtami, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Dahi Handi will be recognised as an adventure sport under the sports category in the state. British households are facing the most severe pressure from rising living costs in 40 years after a fresh rise in inflation in May, amid record prices for petrol and the soaring cost of food. The Centre on Thursday released the list of Har Ghar Jal certified states to declare that the state of Goa had topped the list with every household there having access to clean water through taps. Along with this, the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli has become the first ‘Har Ghar Jal’ certified UT.

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) Chief, Dr V G Somani tenure has been extended by three months, according to an order issued by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday. The statement by Health Ministry said, ” It has been decided with the approval of the competent authority that Dr V G Somani shall continue to hold the charge of the post of Drug Controller of (India) under FR 49(v) for a period of three months w.e.f 16.08.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय द्वारा मंगलवार को जारी एक आदेश के अनुसार, ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (डीसीजीआई) के प्रमुख डॉ. वीजी सोमानी का कार्यकाल तीन महीने के लिए बढ़ा दिया गया है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के बयान में कहा गया है, “सक्षम प्राधिकारी की मंजूरी के साथ यह निर्णय लिया गया है कि डॉ वी जी सोमानी एफआर 49 (वी) के तहत ड्रग कंट्रोलर ऑफ (इंडिया) के पद का प्रभार 16.08.2022 से तीन महीने की अवधि के लिए या अगले आदेश तक, जो भी पहले हो, बने रहेंगे।
NASA is working toward three “placeholder” launch dates for Artemis 1, an uncrewed test flight around the moon that serves as a keystone in testing for future human missions: Aug. 29, Sept. 2 and Sept. 5.
