Shri Alok Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Power briefing media in Bengaluru said that, the first G20 Energy Transition Working Group (ETWG) Meeting under India’s Presidency will be held in Bengaluru, from Feb 5-7, 2023. The meeting will have over 150 participants including G20 member countries, nine special invitee guest countries – Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, UAE and Spain.

श्री आलोक कुमार, सचिव, ऊर्जा मंत्रालय ने बेंगलुरु में ब्रीफिंग मीडिया में कहा कि, भारत की अध्यक्षता में पहली G20 एनर्जी ट्रांजिशन वर्किंग ग्रुप (ETWG) की बैठक 5-7 फरवरी, 2023 को बेंगलुरु में आयोजित की जाएगी। बैठक में 150 से अधिक लोग शामिल होंगे। प्रतिभागियों में G20 सदस्य देश, नौ विशेष आमंत्रित अतिथि देश – बांग्लादेश, मिस्र, मॉरीशस, नीदरलैंड, नाइजीरिया, ओमान, सिंगापुर, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात और स्पेन शामिल हैं।
The First Employment Working Group meeting of G20 summit will be held in Jodhpur in Rajasthan from 2nd to 4th February. During the meeting, three thematic areas will be discussed. These include addressing the Global Skill Gaps, Gig and Platform Economy and Social Protection and Sustainable Financing of Social Security.

From April, all government vehicles that have completed 15 years will automatically lose their right to ply on roads as their certificate of registration will expire, according to a new rule of the central government. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised its 2023 global growth outlook slightly due to “surprisingly resilient” demand in the United States and Europe and the reopening of China’s economy after Beijing abandoned its strict zero-COVID strategy. The IMF said global growth would still fall to 2.9 percent in 2023 from 3.4 percent in 2022, but its latest World Economic Outlook forecasts mark an improvement over an October prediction of 2.7 percent growth this year, with warnings that the world could easily tip into recession.

Japan-based Toyota Motor remained the world’s top-selling automaker, defending its title for a third straight year. The firm sold 10.5 million vehicles in 2022. Toyota was followed by Volkswagen which reported its lowest-ever sales in over a decade of 8.3 million vehicles earlier this month. Toyota’s production forecast for the current financial year through March-end is 9.2 million vehicles.

Uttarakhand’s tableau showcased the state’s wildlife and religious sites during the ceremonial parade at Kartavya Path on January 26. In the foreground of the tableau, reindeer, deer and various birds were shown roaming in the world-famous Corbett National Park. The central part of the tableau depicted the state animal of Uttarakhand, musk deer, national bird peacock and ghoral. Jageshwar Dham, a group of 125 small and big ancient temples in Manaskhand’s Almora district, and popular deodar trees were shown in the rear part of the tableau.
