The district received around 146 proposals worth ₹1.11 lakh crore on Wednesday out of which MoUs have been signed for investment of about ₹65,000 crore. Among these, the MoUs amounting to a maximum ₹50,000 crore have been signed in the energy sector. Jhansi Investors Summit was organised on Wednesday for the purpose of encouraging the investors, making them aware of the schemes of the government and solving their problems. Total 142 investors attended the meet.

जिले को बुधवार को 1.11 लाख करोड़ रुपये के करीब 146 प्रस्ताव प्राप्त हुए, जिनमें से लगभग 65,000 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए हैं। इनमें ऊर्जा क्षेत्र में अधिकतम 50,000 करोड़ रुपये के एमओयू पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए हैं। निवेशकों को प्रोत्साहित करने, उन्हें सरकार की योजनाओं से अवगत कराने और उनकी समस्याओं के समाधान के उद्देश्य से बुधवार को झांसी इन्वेस्टर्स समिट का आयोजन किया गया। बैठक में कुल 142 निवेशकों ने भाग लिया।
The inaugural edition of the bilateral air exercise ‘Veer Guardian 2023’ between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) concluded in Japan on 26 January 2023. The 16-day long exercise was conducted at Hyakuri air base in Japan’s Ibaraki Prefecture.

Aero India 2023, will be held from 13-17 February 2023 at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, the Ministry of Defence announced on November 27. Air Force Station Yelahanka has been hosting the show since 1996.

The Ahom-era ‘Moidams’ (cemetery of the royal family) in Assam’s Charaideo district will be India’s only nomination for recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ‘Moidams’ of the Ahom dynasty at Charaideo were first included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Site in April 2014.

India announced that it wants to modify the 62-year-old Indus Water Treaty (IWT) with Pakistan, citing what it called Pakistan’s “intransigence” in resolving disputes over the Kishenganga and Ratle hydropower projects, both in Jammu and Kashmir. The six-day mega event “Bharat Parv” Event is to be organized by the Government of India at the Lawns and Gyan Path in front of Red Fort, Delhi from 26th to 31st January 2023, as part of the Republic Day Celebrations. “Bharat Parv” is under the Ministry of Tourism and has been designated as the nodal Ministry for the event.

As India celebrates its 74th Republic Day, over 11 crore rural households of the country have access to tap water connections, said a press release by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti on Wednesday. 123 districts and more than 1.53 lakh villages of India have reported ‘Har Ghar Jal’ which means every household has access to clean drinking water through the tap, added the press release.
