The 5th edition of the Khelo India Youth Games will be held in Madhya Pradesh from 31st January to 11th February 2023. The event was felicitated by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur, and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Indigenous games will be a part of the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games. Madhya Pradesh has made the sport of Mallakhamb their state sport for supporting the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to support Olympics sports and indigenous sports in the same manner.

खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स का 5वां संस्करण 31 जनवरी से 11 फरवरी 2023 तक मध्य प्रदेश में आयोजित किया जाएगा। इस आयोजन को केंद्रीय युवा मामले और खेल मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर और मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने सम्मानित किया। स्वदेशी खेल आगामी खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स का हिस्सा होंगे। मध्य प्रदेश ने ओलंपिक खेलों और स्वदेशी खेलों को उसी तरह समर्थन देने के लिए प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की दृष्टि का समर्थन करने के लिए मल्लखंब के खेल को अपना राज्य खेल बना दिया है।
Road Transport and Highways Secretary Aramane Giridhar have been named the new defense secretary as part of a top-level bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Centre on Wednesday. Giridhar, a 1988 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as an Officer on Special Duty in the Department of Defence. He will take over as Defence Secretary after the retirement of Ajay Kumar on October 31, 2022, a Personnel Ministry order said.

The Competition Commission of India has fined Google Rs 1,338 crore for abusing its dominant position in relation to Android mobile devices, and ordered the company to immediately “cease and desist” from such practices. The CCI said Google forced one-sided agreements on the tech ecosystem, ensuring continued supply of consumer data for its apps to garner advertising revenue, while blocking others. It said the policies were adversely impacting the business of smartphone makers, competing app creators, a myriad startups, and users.

HCL founder Shiv Nadar has been honoured by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), a bilateral non-profit, with its Lifetime Achievement Award 2022 for his contribution to the technology industry and philanthropy. The billionaire’s Shiv Nadar Foundation has invested $1.1 billion in philanthropic initiatives, particularly in education. The USISPF said HCL has been an IT services leader for over 45 years and is at the forefront of the technological revolution since 1976.

Indian Coal Ministry has announced that the government will stop the import of thermal coal from the 2023-2024 financial year (FY). As part of a two-day national workshop called Chintan Shivir in Gujarat, Union Minister of Coal and Mines Pralhad Joshi said that the government wants to transition the substitutable shortfall by 2023-2024.

Reliance Jio has partnered with Nokia and Ericsson company for high speed 5G network. This is a multi-year deal. Under this deal, Nokia and Ericsson along with the company will provide high-speed 5G network to Jio customers. It is being claimed that Jio will offer ultra high internet speed to its customers through next generation technology support from Nokia and Ericsson. Also lag-free connectivity will be available.
