- Dr Prabha Atre awarded Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia Lifetime Achievement Award
- Padma Vibhushan awardee, Dr. Prabha Atre was awarded the Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Lifetime Achievement Award.
- The award was conferred by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde to her, at a function at Ram Ganesh Gadkari Rangayatan in Mumbai.
- She was also presented with a citation and Rs 1 lakh.
- She is an Indian classical vocalist from the Kirana Gharana.
- She has been awarded Padma Shri (1990), Padma Bhushan (2002), and Padma Vibhushan (2022) by the Government of India.

- Thailand badminton player, Kunlavut Vitidsarn won the India Open title 2023 after defeating Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) in the men’s singles of the India Open Badminton Championship, held at K. D. Jadhav Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

- Indian films bag award for best scriptwriter and best actress at 21st DIFF
- Two Indian films were awarded for the best script writer and best actress in the Asian Film Competition section at the 21st Dhaka International Film Festival organized from 14-22 Jan 2023.
- Aparajito (directed by: Anik Dutta) won the best scriptwriting award.
- Ketaki Narayan won the best actress award for Prappeda (directed by: Krishnendu Kalesh).

- Centre released endorsement guidelines for Social Media Influencers
- The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution has released ‘Endorsements Know-hows!’ guidelines for celebrities, influencers, and virtual influencers on social media platforms.
- Aim: To ensure that individuals do not mislead their audiences.
- It also ensures that they are in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
- Endorsements must be made in simple terms such as “advertisement,” “sponsored,” or “paid promotion” can be used.

- Canara Bank to sell its stake in Russian joint venture to SBI for Rs 114 cr
- Canara Bank would sell its stake in the Russian joint venture ‘Commercial Indo Bank LLC (CIBL)’ to the other venture partner State Bank of India (SBI) for Rs 114 crore (approx).
- CIBL was incorporated in 2003, a joint venture in Russia between SBI (60%) and Canara Bank (40%).
- Canara Bank has entered into a share sale agreement in relation to the sale of equity shares held by it in CIBL with SBI.
- The Canara Bank entered into the agreement for sale on November 11, 2022.
- केनरा बैंक रूसी संयुक्त उद्यम में अपनी हिस्सेदारी एसबीआई को 114 करोड़ रुपये में बेचेगा
- केनरा बैंक रूसी संयुक्त उद्यम ‘वाणिज्यिक इंडो बैंक एलएलसी (सीआईबीएल)’ में अपनी हिस्सेदारी अन्य उद्यम भागीदार भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) को 114 करोड़ रुपये (लगभग) में बेचेगा।

- Himachal Pradesh targets to be first ‘green energy state’ by 2025
- The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced that the state government is planning to make the state as the first Green Energy State by the end of 2025.
- The state government would also invest in solar plants and will install 500 MW solar projects during the year 2023-24.
- He also directed HIMURJA to ensure 5% premium for the state in each solar power project up to 5 MW and 10% share in the solar power projects of more than 5 MW capacity.
- हिमाचल प्रदेश का 2025 तक पहला ‘हरित ऊर्जा राज्य‘ बनने का लक्ष्य
- हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने घोषणा की है कि राज्य सरकार 2025 के अंत तक राज्य को पहला हरित ऊर्जा राज्य बनाने की योजना बना रही है।
- राज्य सरकार सौर संयंत्रों में भी निवेश करेगी और वर्ष 2023-24 के दौरान 500 मेगावाट की सौर परियोजनाएं स्थापित करेगी।
- उन्होंने हिमऊर्जा को 5 मेगावाट तक की प्रत्येक सौर ऊर्जा परियोजना में राज्य के लिए 5% प्रीमियम और 5 मेगावाट से अधिक क्षमता की सौर ऊर्जा परियोजनाओं में 10% हिस्सेदारी सुनिश्चित करने का भी निर्देश दिया ।
