1. Legendary athlete PT Usha nominated to Vice-chairman panel

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has nominated legendary former athlete PT Usha to the panel of vice-chairperson in the upper house of the Parliament. YSRCP member Vijai Sai Reddy has also been nominated along with her. PT Usha was also elected as the president of the Indian Olympic Association recently.

राज्यसभा के सभापति जगदीप धनखड़ ने दिग्गज पूर्व एथलीट पीटी उषा को संसद के ऊपरी सदन में उपाध्यक्ष के पैनल में नामित किया है। उनके साथ वाईएसआरसीपी के सदस्य विजय साई रेड्डी को भी उम्मीदवार बनाया गया है। पीटी उषा को हाल ही में भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ का अध्यक्ष भी चुना गया था।

2. Jyotiraditya Scindia launched country’s first Green Steel Brand “KALYANI FeRRESTA” 

Union Steel Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched India’s first Green Steel Brand “KALYANI FeRRESTA” in New Delhi. This first-of-its-kind steel has been manufactured by a Pune-based Steel company, Kalyani group by using renewable energy resources, leaving zero carbon footprints in the environment.

केंद्रीय इस्पात मंत्री, ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया ने नई दिल्ली में भारत का पहला ग्रीन स्टील ब्रांड “कल्याणी फेरेस्टा” लॉन्च किया। अपनी तरह के इस पहले स्टील का निर्माण पुणे स्थित स्टील कंपनी, कल्याणी समूह द्वारा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा संसाधनों का उपयोग करके किया गया है, जिससे पर्यावरण में शून्य कार्बन पदचिह्न छोड़े गए हैं।

3. Agriculture Ministry Organises Millet Food Festival in Parliament

To raise awareness about the importance of millet, the Agriculture Ministry is hosting a Millet food festival in Parliament for the members. As the global agrifood systems face challenges to feed an ever-growing global population, resilient cereals like millet provide an affordable and nutritious option.

4. UAE to Host the 13th WTO Ministerial Meeting in 2024

The next World Trade Organization ministerial conference will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in February 2024, the global trade watchdog confirmed in a statement. The UAE and Cameroon were both vying to host the event and came to an informal agreement for Abu Dhabi to host the first one and Cameroon to do the next, trade sources said.

5. Sri Lanka and Russia in talks to use the rupee in foreign trade

Use of rupee in foreign trade: In order to facilitate international trade, Sri Lanka has agreed to utilize the Indian Rupee (INR). It occurs shortly after the Indian government announced it was looking into ways to include nations who are particularly short on dollars in the Indian rupee trade settlement process.

6. Major General Mohit Seth takes over as GoC Kilo Force

Major General Mohit Seth has took over as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Counter Insurgency Force Kilo. He took over from Major General Sanjiv Singh Slaria who has been moved to Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur.

7. HDFC Securities Launched Investor Education Platform ‘Roots’ 

Stock brokerage firm HDFC Securities has launched Roots, a dedicated platform providing comprehensive investor education and market analysis.

8. IDFC FIRST Bank launched ZERO Fee Banking savings accounts

IDFC FIRST Bank has declared ZERO Fee Banking on savings accounts and waived fees on multiple banking services, including Passbook charges, NEFT charges. The bank said that customers maintaining as low as Rs 10,000 Average Monthly Balance, and the Rs 25,000 AMB savings account variant will get these benefits.

• आईडीएफसी फर्स्ट बैंक ने शून्य शुल्क बैंकिंग बचत खाता लॉन्च किया

आईडीएफसी फर्स्ट बैंक ने बचत खातों पर शून्य शुल्क बैंकिंग की घोषणा की है और पासबुक शुल्क, एनईएफटी शुल्क सहित कई बैंकिंग सेवाओं पर शुल्क माफ कर दिया है। बैंक ने कहा कि 10,000 रुपये औसत मासिक बैलेंस रखने वाले ग्राहकों और 25,000 रुपये के एएमबी बचत खाता संस्करण को ये लाभ मिलेंगे।
