1. Nation Pays Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on His Death Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 71st death anniversary. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as the “Iron Man of India,” was born in Nadiad village in present-day Gujarat on October 31, 1875.

• देश ने सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल को उनकी पुण्यतिथि पर श्रद्धांजलि दी

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और कई केंद्रीय मंत्रियों ने सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल को उनकी 71वीं पुण्यतिथि पर श्रद्धांजलि दी। सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल जिन्हें “भारत के लौह पुरुष” के रूप में जाना जाता है, उनका जन्म 31 अक्टूबर, 1875 को वर्तमान गुजरात के नडियाद गांव में हुआ था।

2. Vijay Diwas Celebrated in India to Mark Victory of Bangladesh Liberation War

Nation celebrates Vijay Diwas, to commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war. On this day, the heroes who sacrificed their lives for war are remembered and tributes are paid to them. On 16th December 1971, the chief of the Pakistani forces, General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, along with 93 thousand troops, surrendered unconditionally to the allied forces led by Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora, in Dhaka after their defeat.

1971 के बांग्लादेश मुक्ति संग्राम में पाकिस्तान पर भारत की जीत के उपलक्ष्य में राष्ट्र विजय दिवस मनाता है। इस दिन युद्ध के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने वाले वीरों को याद किया जाता है और उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी जाती है। 16 दिसंबर 1971 को, पाकिस्तानी सेना के प्रमुख, जनरल अमीर अब्दुल्ला खान नियाज़ी ने 93 हजार सैनिकों के साथ, ढाका में लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल जगजीत सिंह अरोड़ा के नेतृत्व वाली सहयोगी सेना को उनकी हार के बाद बिना शर्त आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया।

3. Tokyo Makes Solar Panels Mandatory for New Homes Built After 2025

The Japanese capital local assembly passed a new regulation which stated that all new houses in Tokyo built by large-scale homebuilders after April 2025 must install solar power panels to cut household carbon emissions. Currently, Japan stands at fifth spot in the world’s largest carbon emitters list.

4. Iran Removed From UN Commission on the Status of Women

Iran has been expelled from the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women (UNW) in a vote on which India abstained. The US proposal at the UN Economic and Social Council to remove Iran from the panel received 29 votes, while there were eight votes against and 16 abstentions in the 54-member elected body.

• महिलाओं की स्थिति पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र आयोग से ईरान को हटाया गया

ईरान को महिलाओं की स्थिति पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र आयोग (UNW) से एक वोट में निष्कासित कर दिया गया है, जिस पर भारत ने भाग नहीं लिया। पैनल से ईरान को हटाने के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र आर्थिक और सामाजिक परिषद में अमेरिका के प्रस्ताव को 29 मत प्राप्त हुए, जबकि 54 सदस्यीय निर्वाचित निकाय में आठ मत विरोध में और 16 अनुपस्थित रहे।

5. India Successfully Carries Out Trials of Nuclear-Capable ”Agni-5 missile”

India has successfully conducted night trials of nuclear-capable ballistic missile Agni V, capable of striking targets at ranges more than 5,000 kilometers with very high degree of accuracy.

6. India received Rafale’s 36th and last aircraft from France

All 36 Rafale aircraft were delivered to India by France. India and France struck an intergovernmental agreement wherein Paris committed to pay India 60,000 crore rupees for 36 Rafale fighter jets in 2016.

सभी 36 राफेल विमान फ्रांस द्वारा भारत को सौंपे गए थे। भारत और फ्रांस ने एक अंतर-सरकारी समझौता किया जिसमें पेरिस ने 2016 में 36 राफेल लड़ाकू विमानों के लिए भारत को 60,000 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान करने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई।

7. New York, Singapore most expensive cities, List of top universities and tuition fees

New York and Singapore are the most expensive cities in the world, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Worldwide Cost of Living Index for this year. For many students, pursuing higher education in New York has long been a dream. Students will be exposed to the rich culture and way of life of the Big Apple while studying there, which will open up various job prospects.
