The e-FIR service and the Uttarakhand police app were introduced by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The State police’s five online services are all integrated into the police app. Dhami, who spoke at the event, asserted that the app will provide better services to the public. On behalf of the government’s policy of simplification, solution, and resolution, he noted that this is a commendable endeavour. This is a commendable effort to put Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concept of smart policing into practise.

Amid the government’s push to link Aadhaar with most of the services, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched an app called mAadhaar to make the process simpler. This newly launched mAadhaar App will help people carry their unique identification profile on smartphones and furnish the document whenever asked. The mAadhaar app is available only for Android phone users and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to rejoin the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) following talks between Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Tomar lauded the decision of the AP government. With this decision, crops of more than 40 lakh farmers of the State will get insurance for natural calamities.

India’s first Quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus vaccine (qHPV) against cervical cancer gets Drugs Controller General of India’s (DCGI) approval for market authorisation. This vaccine will be manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII). The Serum Institute of India’s CEO Adar Poonawalla tweeted to make the announcement. “For the first time, there will be an Indian HPV vaccine to treat cervical cancer in women that is both affordable and accessible. We look forward to launching it later this year and we thank the DCGI, MoHFW_INDIA for granting approval today,” it read.

Space tech startup, Agnikul Cosmos has inaugurated India’s first-ever factory to manufacture 3D-printed rocket engines in Chennai. The facility will use additive manufacturing technology to build 3D printed rocket engines and will be used to produce engines for its own in-house rockets. It was unveiled by Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran and ISRO chairman S Somanath in the presence of Pawan Goenka, the chairman of IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre).

Two locations from India have been named among “50 extraordinary destinations to explore” this year by TIME Magazine. The southern state of Kerala and Ahmedabad, the capital city of Gujarat were the two Indian entries into the list of the world’s greatest places of 2022.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the construction of the Taranga Hill-Ambaji- Abu Road new rail line to be constructed by the Ministry of Railways at an estimated cost of Rs 2798.16 crore. The total length of the new rail line will be 116.65 km and is expected to be completed in 2026-27. The project would generate direct employment during construction for about 40 lakh man-days.

According to a formal announcement, Jharkhand came out on top in the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Rurban Mission’s delta ranking for the month of June with a composite score of 76.19. As a result, the state has moved up to number eight in the mission’s overall ranking. The state’s score in the delta ranking increased by 1.93 points from the previous month, the most increase among the 34 states and union territories.
